More than a decade ago, I bought from Joe Vitale and engulfed an expensive course called Hypnosis Writing. If I remember correctly, I can buy a thick CD and two thick manuals for $1,000. It is sometimes one of the best investments I have learned, not only good, but also excellent copywriting that is crazy.
I am cleaning up some old files this morning and checking my handwriting from the course. In the notes, I found out "the seven secret principles of hypnosis writing." They still stand the test of time today, so I think I will share it with you here.
Keep in mind that these are not a list of clues about Vitale's "hypnosis writing." But from these clues, you can see enough valuable information to improve your writing almost immediately, whether it's a blog post, a sales letter, an email, or anything else.
1: Make it personalized
Hypnotic writing speaks to the reader. You will find words like you, me, me, you. All of this makes you feel that writing is talking to you personally. In fact, it is. The more personalized, the more hypnotic.
2: Stay active
Hypnosis writing is active. You will find a lot of verbs. You will find very little passive writing. Say "writing is hypnotic" and say the difference between "Joe weaving hypnosis writing." The first is passive and the second is active.
3: Get emotional
Hypnosis writing can tap your emotions. You may find it in a story format or a direct narrative. Either way, writing will pull your heart. Joe's most famous letter began, "I almost shed tears..." This line caused the reader's emotions. You must read this letter to find out what tears are for.
4: Sensibility
Writing hypnosis involves your senses. You will find a description of feeling, taste, sight, smell and hearing. All of this will help you to participate in writing and easy to understand its commands.
5: Control
Hypnosis writing commands the reader to do something. As a reader, you may not be able to detect commands that may be embedded. But there will always be one. Ask yourself, "What do I want to do after reading this article?" What you do next may be the result of a hypnosis command.
6: Curiosity
Hypnotic writing can affect your curiosity. You may find it starting a story - but it doesn't end until the end of the article. You may find it hopefully telling you how to do something, but it will only give you limited details, urging you to order the products it promotes for more information.
7: Hypnosis writing is hidden
You won't find any obvious clues, "Warning, hypnosis writing at work." Writing will become smooth and personalized, and hypnosis will sneak into conscious consciousness.
Now imagine if you really have the ability to influence your subconscious mind.
Imagine if you can activate the unconscious reaction in your brain by using simple trigger words.
Imagine you can do it in both written and spoken language.
You may not believe that you can do this. But I will tell you, you can, because as time goes by, we will be subtly hypnotized and accept some suggestions. This process has never stopped since we were a baby.
You won't even doubt these simple words that hold any special powers. But when you use them correctly, they can greatly improve your persuasiveness.
Yes, I just gave you a sample of hypnosis writing. ' If you re-read the first 5 paragraphs, if you study it carefully, you will notice that I used three small words to produce good results - "Imagine you and because."
If all you do is use these three words more frequently in your copy, you will experience the persuasiveness of writing.
Imagine if you can convince anyone, then when you do, you will have the power to make a fortune.
Try it the next time you write and see what happens.
