Overcoming inefficient communication in the organization

What is inefficient/ineffective communication? Ineffective communication can cause short-term and long-term hostile behavior and reduce work efficiency. When we do this, we usually don't consider the process of communication, but paying close attention to how you send and receive information can eliminate problems and improve relationships.

Any interruption or failure in the process can lead to ineffective communication. Language is an obvious example; if you speak as a sender in a language that the recipient does not understand, the communication fails. Writing information to people who have difficulty reading is also an ineffective communication. These are called obstacles and are not so obvious. For example, if you have an idea but don't have the confidence to say it, it is an obstacle. Body language, such as being lazy on a chair, looks like you are bored and is also an obstacle.

Eliminate obstacles

Eliminating obstacles will increase your chances of effective communication. Both the sender and the receiver should focus on the rest of the process, make eye contact, concentrate on listening and avoid distractions. By understanding, you are imagining what it feels like in another person's situation, which helps the communication process. Stereotypes, generalizations and inaccuracies are also obstacles, because you have to be aware of them, so it is difficult to remove them. Observing and listening to others can help you measure stereotypes and perceptions that are relevant to others and help you improve communication.

Impact of business ineffective communication

Communication is a fact of life, especially in the workplace, teamwork, technology and telework are becoming more common. In order for companies to meet deadlines and exceed targets, solid communication systems and relationships must be established. When communication is interrupted, the business will also crash. When stress, unmet expectations, relationship collapses, low morale, dissatisfied customers, family problems, health problems and a smaller bottom line become long-term workplace problems, poor communication can be the source of the problem. The impact of ineffective communication in the workplace is as follows:

1. Workplace stress: High stress levels in the workplace are an important indicator of communication problems. Poor communication can make people feel that everything on your to-do list is urgent, causing you and others to be in a hurry, nervous, overworked, and almost silent. Good communication leads to stability and predictability, but lack of communication or unhealthy communication can cause a sense of nervousness that can be counterproductive.

2. UNMET expects: Lack of communication leads to unmet expectations. The team missed the deadline, the customer missed the appointment, and the people in the project didn't seem to know what their role was. When employees are not sure what their priorities should be, they tend to pick the wrong things and eventually disappoint their superiors. Without clearly communicated expectations and priorities, there is no way to know where to start and how to effectively complete the project.

3. Relationship breakdown: Your former positive relationship may be tense, so when you pass through your colleague or boss's cubicle, you are likely to want to hide instead of sitting down for a friendly solution to find a conversation. You may be unsure about finding a solution to a conflict because of concerns about how it affects your job security. It is also common to feel insecure or lack of satisfaction when completing daily tasks, all of which reduce workplace productivity.

4. Low racial: When people deal with intense emotions, they spend more time on emotional management than usual. Productivity declines and morale is replaced by a day-to-day relaxation. Workplace survival patterns can be a real problem. When business relationships are hurt and cannot be fixed, trust disappears, making it difficult to work together to meet deadlines. When people miss deadlines, they tend to be dissatisfied with performance. This vicious circle prevents teams and businesses from realizing their true potential.

5. Dissatisfied customers: Dissatisfied customers may be poorly communicated. When a team misses a deadline or an appointment, the superior tends to feel frustrated and stressed, but the customer does. If your customers start relying on phone services before their grand opening and your installation team misses the deadline, your customers may have no money. If your legal team is not fully prepared to file a lawsuit in court and file a lawsuit at the last minute, the decision may not be in your favor. When the caregiver misses the deadline, it may mean that the patient did not receive medication or bathe on time.

6. Family pressure: Employees who are stressed throughout the day feel stressed and tired after returning home, affecting their families.
