The key to starting your own clothing company

Starting your own private label clothing company is not as difficult as you might think. I assure you that the founding members of Volcom, Paul Frank, Hurley and Von Dutch are not crazy fashion geniuses. If you have the following content, you can copy their brand stars:

1. A decent sign

2. Creative concepts and graphics - design talent

A unique blank clothing supplier

a decent screen printer

5. Line table shows potential buyers

6. Sell and promote talent.

Which one do you think is the most important? Are you saying that it is obviously a design talent? You are joking? You must be joking. Have you left the house recently? Have you seen Von Dutch clothing? Crayon weilding chimpanzees produce a better design. In addition, I think the monkey is more hygienic, but I am digressing.

#6 is obviously the most important element. You can create a full range of fashion-forward, beautiful outfits, but if you can't pitch the ball - no one will see it [of course not including your mother]. So, unless you want a closet filled with your dream design, ask yourself two questions:

Can I sell it?

In other words... can I use my lines to hit the sidewalk and walk into every boutique clothing store I can find? Then I will harass the buyers of the retail clothing store so that they can try to squeeze out 5 minutes for me at Magic 06'

Can I give a professional speech to Nordstroms buyers?

Can I promote it?

Do I have a creative virus or gureilla marketing concept to get started with this tag?

If the answer to both questions is negative - you'd better get some help. In other words, to find a person who is passionate about fashion, he also happens to be extroverted, very good on the phone, and very aggressive. Finally, [and specifically] if your sales representative is hot, it will help.

I know, how terrible.....Sorry, I didn't say it was an equal opportunity blog:]

That being said, let me welcome the low end of your swimming pool.....that is, the fashion world.

I wish your brand good luck!
