mobile? Holding a packaging party

Moving involves a lot of work. Some utilities can disconnect and set a new address in your old location, change the address to be sent, fill out the form for archiving and packaging.

Packaging usually involves the most work and spends the most time on the entire move. This article describes how to hold a packaging party to help complete more packaging.

Background: What is a packaging party?

The packaging party is a social event where friends gather and want someone to do it in their new home and help with some basic packaging work.

Packing Step Step 1: Create a guest list.

You can use some criteria to organize your visitor list:

· Your potential guests should be well aware of your actions.

· You need to be able to trust potential customers and help you package them.

· You should invite people you can rely on to actually appear.

· Don't invite anyone who is dissatisfied with the packaging or can't attend the party.

Ok, now suppose you have someone on your list, go to step 2!

Packing step 2: Set the date.

You want to arrange a packaging party about 2 weeks before moving. This should give you enough time to prepare for the event, while leaving enough time to make up for any unfinished packaging.

Packing step 3: Arrange food.

Although I don't fully understand it, there is no denying that food has the magical power to attract and inspire people. It is now one of the rewards for those who come to help you. If you are an excellent chef, please break your signature dish. If you can't cook, try recruiting a friend who can help with cooking. If both fail, pizza and beer are usually good choices.

Remember, those who come to help should get good things!

Packager Step 4: Send the invitation.

I usually recommend using a three-wave system:

· Start with an email and let people know that a written invitation is coming, but ask them to keep the date. Be sure to mention the food and ask for a reply.

· The next step is a written invitation. Yes, it's more troublesome than email, but it gives a bigger impression and gives your guests respect.

· Finally, follow up on the phone.

Packing step 5: Plan packaging.

There are guidelines to plan how guests can provide the best help:

• First, choose a housing area that you don't use often, such as a garage or storage room.

The bookshelf is an example of a simple packaging task.

· Choose the rooms you don't want to pack and make sure you have the signs for these doors.

· If you want a box marked in a specific way, pack a sample box for each room.

· It is not intended to allow the actual packaging to last for more than an hour so that guests can enjoy the party of the event.

Packing Step 6: Prepare for the guests.

Here are some ideas for getting ready for your arrival:

· Make sure you have enough packaging on hand: box, packing tape, foam packaging, wide head markings, scissors and wrapping paper [blank newsprint].

· Prepare the "station" for food and drinks.

Try to arrange a music player for each packaging room.

· The homework is ready as the guest enters.

Packing side Step 7: Management side

Your most important task is to welcome guests, answer questions and create as much fun as possible during the event. Make sure you also do a little packaging. Take a lot of photos after the event.

good luck!
