Kwanzaa is a great place to celebrate. If you are hosting a party, here are some game ideas that can add fun.
"Mamba" Kwanzaa Party Game
This game is very interesting and requires a team of players to work together. It is especially good if there are many children playing. All that is needed is a fairly large area [about 10 square meters] that has been marked. The children gathered in the marked area, one of which was selected as Mamba. Mamba must try to catch other players who must remain in the marked area. Any player running outside of the area must leave the game. When a player was caught by the Mamba team, they placed their hands on Mamba's waist and joined the snake. Only the head of the snake [formerly Mamba] can capture people, but as more players let the children make Mamba's body, they can trap other players. When all the children were eaten by the Mamba, the game was over. Winning the last winner will receive a small prize.
"Earth, Air, Fire, Water" Kwanzaa Party Game
This fun Kwanzaa party game is best played with a large group of kids. All that is needed is a tennis ball and a decent size area. The children sit in a circle and one chooses to start. They must throw the tennis ball to other people in the circle and call out "Earth", "Air", "Fire" or "Water". If you summon the Earth, the player who catches the ball needs to name an animal that lives on Earth [the ground]. If you call the air, they must name the animals that can fly. If they summon the fire, they must remain silent. If summoning water, they must be named marine animals. When the ball is thrown from one player to another, the game continues. Each player has 10 seconds to think about the answer, and they must not repeat the answers already given. If they violate these rules, they must leave the circle. The last player to leave the circle wins.
