CCleaner is a free and paid version of the registry repair tool created by Piriform, known for its fast registry cleanup program. In fact, we have timed on our 3 Ghz 32-bit Pentium 4 computer, which completed the registry scan in less than 15 seconds. It only received one error. Our first question is: How much is the scan?
Other registry cleaners we run on our computer can take a minute or more [many in the range of 2 to 4 minutes] to more than 6 to 8 minutes, and in some cases up to 14 minutes. Our natural curiosity wants to know that a scan that lasts only 15 seconds may be as thorough as scanning two to four or six minutes.
Obviously, CCleaner does not scan as many files as other cleaners. How can it be done in 15 seconds? Our results have produced these findings. Other cleaners, such as RegCure, eventually found more errors and empty entries in their scan than CCleaner. RegCure found 86 errors on the same machine, and CCleaner only received one error. But that can be attributed to changes in the search algorithm used. Each utility has its own parameter definition for selecting content that is ranked incorrectly in the registry. Some people will choose the error carefully, so they can reduce the error.
Although we like the free version of CCleaner, we can't overcome the fact that it can only get a small amount of error from other utilities. It does this on a regular basis. But what's important is that your registry has not been cleaned up and corrupted, and you can still use it without having to restore a backup of the old registry. In other words, it does not disable the computer.
One of CCleaner's main sales features is that it can do more than just clean up the registry. It comes with system cleanup function [cleaning old and unused system files and logs], tool features [tools with uninstaller, managing system boot menu, finding lost files, recovering system] earlier date and drive The eraser, as well as the Options tab [allows you to manage cookies, include/exclude files to be cleaned up] and the Advanced Settings tab [allows you to restore the default settings and nine other items, among others].
