SYDNEY - Demonstrating Value: Evaluation for Non-Profit Organizations
Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia   Demonstrating Value:  Evaluation for Non-Profit Organizations   SYDNEY: April 25th, May 30th, May 31st & June 20th 2016 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day Cape Breton University, Shannon School of Business, Rm SB 201 1250 Grand Lake Road, Sydney, NS   This four-day, skill building program on evaluation for non-profit organizations will enable participants to: 1. Develop an evaluation framework for programs and services 2. Build evaluation into an organization as part of program management Topics include: logic models, theory of change, the evaluation focus, data collection methods, measures, analysis and reporting as well as building internal evaluation strategies.   Program instructor, Dr. Kaireen Chaytor, is a leader in the field of community and organizational evaluation.  She will work with participants on practical applications of evaluation principles and methods to their non-profit organizations.  The four days of this in-depth program will be delivered over an 8-week period and participants are requested to commit to all four days.  There is required reading and writing outside of the formal sessions.  Participants will be asked to submit draft evaluation plans for review. Fees include a comprehensive workbook, readings and nutritional breaks.  CSCNS Members:  0.00 Non-Members:        0.00 Course materials will be sent to participants upon payment of registration. Workbooks will be provided at the time of the course. Participants are responsible for lunch.  Nutritional snacks will be provided.
